Atmel seems to be having some type of production problem. The Tiny2313L that
runs on 1.8V is even further behind schedule. I have four parts marked
"E.S." meaning they are Engineering Samples, so a few do exist, but not
enough to design a product with yet.
There is a App. Note on converting from the 1200 to Tiny2313 so you can be
ready to switch when the time comes.
I find Atmel's continually obsoleting products extremely frustrating. Some
of my products involve goverment approvals where it might cost $5,000 to
change from a Tiny2313 to a Tiny2313L just because the label on the chip is
