Hi,Does anyone know the status on support for these devices, we'd like to switch to a four serial port device, MEGA1280 or MEGA2560, whilst keeping the GNU compiler.
Support is tentatively done for the m1280 (binutils, gcc, avr-libc, header file), although untested. The patches are not yet in the avr-libc Patch Manager, though I or Jörg can provide them for you. The m1280 support will be in the next WinAVR release.
Support for the m256x is more complicated. Marek Michalkiewicz (CC'd) was working on a scheme to get support for those parts implemented, but I don't know what the current status is.
