The STK500 bootloader itself is a simple AVR910 one, so in theory, you
can update the firmware using -c avr910.
However, the question is where you would get the firmware from, as
Atmel apparently treats it as a trade secret -- even though there's
not much point in that, because you could "sniff" that firmware at
various spots in the chain when running a normal update within AVR
Studio.
