You cared enough to help out on that AVR Freaks thread.

You cared enough to post it on this list.

I know that you are frustrated with the process, but you are not helping the 
process any by going around and being cynical and telling lies about the 

If you want the process to be better, then help make it better.

And thank you for referencing Binutils bug #2596 on the AVR Freaks thread. Come 
to find out, I didn't even know about that bug, as I didn't have it on my list. 
I'm frustrated too, in that Bjoern Haase, who submitted the bug, mentioned that 
he submitted a patch, but it is not attached to that bug report. I can only 
assume that he submitted a patch to the mailing list, which of course got lost 
over time. Now we need to go track down that patch...
