That cannot work.  The testsuite, as it is now, heavily relies on
the existing simulavr code, it won't even work with simulavrxx.

That doesn't mean it's impossible to adapt it, but it requires
manpower to do so.  Keeping the old simulavr alive requires almost
zero manpower, in contrast. ;-)
