The problem stems from the 232H patches missing the libftdi 0.19 boat and you know it'll be a while before 0.20 makes it out into the wild on any platform. I was hoping 'special avrdude' builds could be avoided that accommodate the 232H part. Is it possible to include the libftdi0.19+232H patches source into the AVRDUDE source tree so anyone building AVRDUDE 5.11 on any platform (with libftdi statically linked) doesn't get miss out on the 232H around until libftdi 0.20 comes out?
