The book sources are in the standard cvs on savannah. use:

export CVS_RSH=ssh
cvs -z3 -d:ext:address@hidden:/cvsroot/axiom co axiom

and look at

src/doc/book.pamphlet 

file. Axiom's document command or noweb's noweave command will
extract the tex sources. If memory serves I believe the book.pamphlet
file is standard latex as I don't remember including any code in it.
