Yes but Scilab is NOT free software. One day or the other, you'll pay it (see
the BitKeeper issue for Linux kernel).
For reference: on scilab.org web site, FAQ section:
Q6. Is Scilab license GPL-compatible?
According to the Free Software Foundation, Scilab is not a free software.
