CY,
$ and % are semantically the same thing but the syntax was changed
late in the development from $ (meaning 'this' domain) to % meaning
the same thing. This was done to make the Aldor and Axiom syntax
the same. The Aldor compiler came late in the Axiom development and
drove a lot of cleanup and changes back into Axiom.
