i fought the same issue on the Magnus project (another open source
project i'm leading). i never managed to unlock the directory. the
only method i found was to destroy the local directory, submit
delete changes to fix the host, and restart the process from 
scratch. svn cleanup does nothing (or at least it doesn't clean up).
the whole dance cost me 8 hours.
