Details:
I have a notebook computer and when at home always use an external screen. I
have the two screens set up in Ubuntu using the Screen Resolution settings so
that the two screens become one large screen, main external screen on the top,
notebook on the bottom (becoming the secondary screen). When taking the
computer to another location and only using the notebook screen, one project
window that was formerly placed on the secondary screen was inaccessible. It
would show up briefly when BE was loading, and in the list of windows in the
task bar button list, it would show up. But selecting via that drop-down list
didn't make it visible. When cycling windows using Alt-Tab, the window would
not show up. When I tried to reload/open this invisible project, BE would
appear to think about it, sometimes there would be a flicker, but the window
would not appear.
Again, it might be helpful if BE had its own window menu choice like BART
and TW (or window button bar). But the problem here is deeper than just
needing another menu.
