Details:

Numerous occurences of assumed success from running git commands. Need to
validate return codes and push task back into queue if failed.

This appears to have been fixed sometime in the last year or two!...

Søren doesn't refer to the undo feature in the GUI.  Instead, he means to
simply move the hitting checker back to its original position (just as you
would do with a real checker).  The checker that was hit appears to remain on
the bar.

Seems to be a refresh problem:  if you minimize and maximize, then the
checker reappears.

This works for me. Could you be more specific as to how you are
hitting/dragging/moving back? Pick-and-pass doesn't work - that's a known
problem (which I have almost solved on my checked out code).

BTW: "Undo" always returns you to the situation before any move was done.
