I am glad to read that it works well on your desktop computer  (although on the laptop it crashes to to the "Trace/BPT trap: 5" issue).

What leaves me wondering is this:

1. When macports compiles the application from source and installs it, then bibledit-gtk crashes.

2. When the appllication is compiled from source by hand and installed, then it does not crash.

What would be the difference between the two situations?
