I can try to cut a release some time this weekend.  My constraint is
time, not network access, but I don't think it should be that hard to
simply cut a release.

Perhaps we should delay any official release until September, as any
last-minute bugs may well go unfixed until you return.  (And I need a
vacation too.  :-)
