That is not what I am speaking about. There is no need to compile the Bison
sources, as the output is intended to be platform independent, and if the user
does not have an up-to-date version they will not be able to compile. So it
might be prudent to set make to not compile them.
Then distcheck makes a read only copy, and tries to make in a separated
directory, not according to the recipe specified by the make file, but with
changes. But that will fail if the Bison compile is set to the sources
directory.
