Option -r doesn't work

Hello

I've got GNU a2ps 4.13 and I'd like to convert portrait postscript to a 
landscape one.

I've tried:
a2ps --columns=1 -r a.ps -o b.ps

But it does exactly NOTHING with the postscript. b.ps has portrait layout.

Manpage says:
       -r, --landscape
             print in landscape mode

Please can you fix the bug?
