a2ps 4.13: annotating postscript input does not work

RH 7.2 (Linux)

a2ps came with the RH 7.2 distribution.



Annotating postscript files with for example --center-title="whatever"
does not seem to work. When my input is ASCII this works just fine, but
when I replace ASCII with postscript there is no complaints, but the title
is not there.

For example :

a2ps --center-title="whatever" -o output.ps input.ps

will produce a postscript file but no title.

a2ps --center-title="whatever" -o output.ps input.txt


(ascii input) will get annotated with a title placed centrally
as expected....


I read documentation and it says that postscript is a valid
format for the input file....
