Remember to cover the basics, that is, what you expected to happen and
what in fact did happen.

Be sure to consult the FAQ section in the manual before submitting
a bug report. If the bug (or problem) is triggered by a specific
(La)TeX file, you should try to produce a minimal sample file
showing the problem and include it in your report.

Your bug report will be posted to the AUCTeX bug reporting list.

I am using Emacs 22 + AUCTeX 11.84 on Windows XP Pro SP2 downloaded in
the precompiled bundle emacs+auctex-w32-2007-01-26.zip. I am running
MiKTeX 2.5. I am able to crash Emacs with the following sequence of
1. Make some change to a tex file, but don't save the file.
2. Run Latex from the Command menu and save the file when asked.
3. Make some more changes to the file, but again don't save the file.
4. Run Latex from the Command menu and save the file when asked.
5. Emacs crashes.

If the file is saved before running latex there is no problem at all.
I should also mention that running shell commands from Emacs is not a
problem, so it is perhaps not an Emacs bug.
