I doubt this - Normally, application code never is required to
explicitly include sys/params.h.

Classical BSD-systems require
#include <sys/types.h>
#include <sys/socket.h>
[In this order - This is a classical bug that pops up when trying to
build newer networking code on ancient systems.]
