autoconf bug when trying to build gimp1.2.5

Hi GNU team!

my autoconf (resp. the configure script of GIMP 1.2.5) told me to
report the following problem to you:

This happens on a Sun Ultra1/167 running Solaris 8 02/02 MU6.
