Could you help please regarding Python compilation on Sun OS version 64 bits please?
I got the following error message:
sns481!raphaeld:~/Python/Python-2.3.3 [110]> make
CC -xarch=v9 -xildoff -pto -xs -mt -c  -DNDEBUG -O -I. -I./Include  -DPy_BUILD_CORE -o Modules/ccpython.o ./Modules/ccpython.cc
"./Include/pyport.h", line 555: Warning: #error "LONG_BIT definition appears wrong for platform (bad gcc/glibc config?).".
1 Warning(s) detected.
cc -xarch=v9 -xildoff -pto -xs -mt -c  -DNDEBUG -O -I. -I./Include  -DPy_BUILD_CORE -o Parser/acceler.o Parser/acceler.c
"./Include/pyport.h", line 555: #error: "LONG_BIT definition appears wrong for platform (bad gcc/glibc config?)."
cc: acomp failed for Parser/acceler.c
make: *** [Parser/acceler.o] Error 2
I saw that during the configure command launching wrong display:
checking for long... yes
checking size of long... 4
on 64 bits version with compilation option  "CC -xarch=v9 " the size of long has to be "8".
configure command:
./configure --with-cxx="CC -xarch=v9 -mt" --prefix=/s3guser10.s481/ip/ap/raphaeld/Python/Python64b --enable-shared --with-threads
