First off, a failure of this test doesn't impact Autoconf functionality
for you, unless you want to use parallel test execution of Autotest
tests.
Then, we know that the parallel testing code doesn't work with many
shells, so we only enable it for bash and zsh. What version is your
/bin/bash? Does the file tests/testsuite.dir/188/status exist and
what does it contain?
