bug#31126: GNU Automake 1.16.1 fails 21 tests on Solaris 10 sparcv9

Dear automake folks :


I was surprised to see a bucket of failures here on a Solaris 10 sparcv9
system where I use the Oracle Studio 12.6 compilers.
