...so I tried set -o notify, but alas, not ideal:
$ kill %
$ [1]+ Terminated $tk2/tk2.tcl
[cursor now here]
I wanted a fresh prompt issued too, not just parking me at the
beginning of a blank line.
p.s. the differences between the meanings of
[1]+ Aborted $tk2/tk2.tcl
and
[1]+ Terminated $tk2/tk2.tcl
should be mentioned on the man page.
