bash in xterm crashes when pressing F1 (or F2, F3, F4)

When I press F1, F2, F3 or F4 in bash running under xterm, bash or xterm 
crashes.
I enabled coredumps, and saw that bash dumps core. Sample coredump is attached
(I just started xterm with login bash and then pressed F1, upon which it 
crashed).
