This is an addition to a message sent by devzero on Sep 6:
After installing Oracle 10.1 I got the same problem. My workaround is to
"unset C" after the . oraenv call. Alternatively, you could rename that
variable in /usr/local/bin/oraenv (any name other than C seems to be OK).
In my opinion, it is indeed a bash problem, possibly SuSE specific (I am
using SuSE 9.2, although with a more recent kernel).
It is easy to replicate as shown in the attached example. Note that I hit
the tab key after "cd" in both cases. I also include a gdb traceback
(sorry, no patch, I don't have time to look at the source code now)
