Well, sure. The included libtermcap is enough for bash to link
successfully and run, but it doesn't know anything about your terminal
and doesn't know how to read all the termcap/terminfo files out there.
It can do really basic character movement, but that's about it.
This has always been the case. There's nothing about patches 25-27
that introduced any changes here.
