[Bug ld/441] New: ld (CVS 2004-10-11) with intel compiler

When I try to use binutils (ld) from CVS 2004-10-11, I cannot get the Intel
C/C++ compiler 8.1 to work properly:

ld: attempted static link of dynamic object `/lib/libpthread.so.0'

with any C file, even most simple tests run by configure scripts.

Everything was working fine up to CVS 2004-10-08 so I reverted back to that
version. Any idea whtat's wrong ?
