This doesn't prove that there is anything wrong with cvs head. It is
possible that the older linker worked only by accident. It is possible
that a required change to linker behaviour reduced the amount of shared
data section space available to the compiler, and thus Intel compiler
will have to be fixed. It is also possible that cvs head is broken.
We can't tell which possibility is correct without a testcase.
