Hi Nick,

I tested your patches.
We use the release version 2.25.1 for our projects, so the ones with
"bfd_link_relocatable()" do not work here, because it is not declared.
But your very first fixed the problem.

I also tried whether they work with the daily updated version in github.
Without any patch, the problem is the same here, but with your second revision,
it works fine.
