if you don’t mind, would you allow me to mail you in the future to learn about
how exactly you pinpointed the issue?

i am quite impressed. this will be very helpful for others trying to build a
multilib mips toolchain on x86_64.

as you can see, others also had this issue but few were able to report it to
the right source.
