I still do not know what introduced those strange bytes into the translation -
maybe a very misconfigured mutt.

The command to transfer the translation was quite easy to find and run:

        msgmerge coreutils-5.94.pl.po coreutils-5.96.pot > coreutils-5.96.pl.po

I have sent the result to address@hidden and made available as
