additional option in dd will be usefull

Hello!
It will be usefull feature to extent 'dd' option 'status' with value 
'void'. Sometime some utilities check not only return code of 'dd'? but 
checking 'stderr' stream for detecting error's of 'dd' work.
I'am use SuSe 10.1 distribution. In attachment patched source of 'dd.c' 
from that distribution which allow to get new option 'status=void' which 
supress any statistic in stderr stream.
