That would work just fine, but I think I mildly prefer the approach
you installed, as it's a bit cleaner (to me at least) if modules state
their inclusion requirements more explicitly.  (Also, it's less work
for us to use what you already got working.  Thanks.  :-)

Those seem to be fixed now, for all but the two HP-UX builds that have
been broken for ages (ia64 11.23 32-bit and 64-bit -- apparently that
is because Bob has an old gettext installed on those hosts).
