My apologies on the version.  I scrolled down the ftp page in my browser
neglecting to remember that in the sort order 6.10 wouldn't come after
6.9.  I got to the bottom of the available coreutils packages and thought
I had the latest.  I'm blaming fatigue.

I loaded 6.10 onto Slackware-current and ran the traces ("strace -f") --
if you want other switches just let me know.  I've attached the results.
