I haven't looked at the code for csplit, but most of the options it
already has seem oriented toward text data.   Of course in the worst
case (of the change being awkward to make to the existing program) you
could write a new program for this purpose.   IIRC, gnulib has some
efficient functions for searching for byte sequences in memory blocks.

The menu option "Settings > Accounts" allows you to edit the name
associated with your account.   I can't think why it would be all-caps
at all in your case, mine isn't.
