bug#10425: make check fails with "/bin/sh: not found" on AIX

Hi all,

Happy New Year!

configure and build of coreutils 8-14 went fine on AIX 5.3 (using xlc v7).
However, the subsequent "make check" does not.
Using both root and non-root userids "make check" fails at the same
location.

Please excuse my ignorance. No idea howto examine the test system.
