Subject: | [Bug-cpio] File permissions in pass through mode |

Hi, I believe that there is a bug in cpio-2.7 in pass
through mode. The file permissions of executables are being set to “600”
instead of “755” during my testing. I have reverted to cpio version
2.5 and this problem disappears. I am running Linux on an ARM processor. My test
command line is “find / -xdev | cpio –pvmd /tmp”. The problem only occurs in 2.7 in pass through mode,
creating a intermediate archive and then extracting it works fine. Let me know if you need more information. Regards, Eunan Muldoon. |
