Hi,

I just want to mention, that due to
a bug mentioned here,
https://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/bug-cpio/2017-07/msg00003.html
with the patch used here
https://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/bug-cpio/2017-07/msg00004.html
is still not fixed.

Dues to this bug, cpio is not capable to deal with archives > 2^31 bytes
for crc format.

I used the patch and can confirm that
it works.
