DDD 3.3.1 (i586-pc-cygwin) gets 'Segmentation Fault' signal

Subject: DDD 3.3.1 (i586-pc-cygwin) gets 'Segmentation Fault' signal

What I did:

Installed the binaries for the latest version of lesstif, then downloaded
the source for ddd.  Ran ./configure; make; make install;
Then started up a X server, and typed "ddd" to start the program from an
xterm. It opens (so I see the window & so on), but the mouse cursor
changes to an hourglass for 15 seconds (and the only thing I've tried to
do at all is move it), then the program crashes.

I've attached the log file produced, along with the output of running
ddd --configuration

I haven't tried to configure it to use any specific debugger yet, but it
may have tried to use the version of gdb that I have installed (GNU gdb
5.0 (20010428-1))

It was compiled with gcc 2.95.3-5...

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer!
