Can't compile ddd-3.3.1 with standard RH9 installation.

Hi,

I'm trying to compile ddd-3.3.1 with a standard Red Hat 9 system (gcc
3.2.2), nothing fancy, just "./configure; make" and make fails with the
following (config.cache attached):
