Ola Antonio!

A block is missing between the two in the list:

0 +
0x00000200  0x00000200  +
0x00000400  0x00000400  -
0x00000800  0x00000800  +

BTW, if these kind of "synthetic" domain logfiles is very used, maybe ddrescuelog could be extended to "compile" a whole logfile from a list of blocks already in logfile format. (Ddrescuelog already does this from a list of blocks in badblocks format).

Or the syntax check could have a "loose mode" used only for rescue-domain log files (and maybe also in fill mode?). It would be enough to only check the lines that will actually be used, and those by the rule, that they "must be strictly ascending and non-overlapping".

This would allow for quick edits to log files without all the calculation involved for making it clean again. Still a "log file cleaner" function like you described for ddrescuelog could come in handy.

Florian
