I don't mean to over complicate it, but I think it should also state what condition the block is in, either bad-sector, non-trimmed, non-scraped, or non-tried.

Good idea.

I would think it should also stay true to the ability to choose which type to fill.

Sure.

Part of me thinks it should even work for good "finished" areas for those wanting total control (although I cannot see a reason why at this time), but another part of me thinks is should not be allowed to fill finished areas.

Fill mode currently can fill finished areas. It is the recommended method to wipe only the good sectors.

And maybe it could or should contain both the location for the individual sector and also what block of the logfile it is in? It may help finding what part of the logfile applies to it, but maybe that could be too much information and be confusing.

This one is not so useful. Lines are constantly being split and merged in the logfile.

Maybe I could add an option to ddrescuelog to output the number of the line that contains a given position or sector:

moe +$(ddrescuelog --line <pos> logfile) logfile

Best regards,
Antonio.
