I am trying to compile dejagnu-1.4.4 on my system (basically a Mandrake Linux 10.0, but with several updated packages), but when I try to run the testsuite I encounter some unexpetected failures:

Native configuration is i686-pc-linux-gnu

I saw a similar report for a Solaris system in the archives, which included a patch, but there was no reply to indicate if that was an appropriate fix or not.

I checked the Mandriva Linux dejagnu sources and they simply ignore all make ckeck errors when building the package. Is this really something I can ignore ? I realise it has something to do with the libstdc++ version unit.cc is compiled with (I use gcc-3.4.4), but is this something that affects only the testsuite, or does it affect dejagnu itself ?
