You're on-topic - since this is the only findutils-related mailing list, it's
also used for general discussion, AFAICT.

Kevin's last visible work in the findutils area was the release of version
4.1.7 in June 2001. Since then, there have been various patches and bug
reports submitted to the mailing list by others, but there have been no
replies from him (at least not to the list).
Searching for "Kevin Dalley" on Google turns up this mail:

So perhaps he'll return to actively maintaining findutils in the future. Until
then, at least some security fixes should be integrated into findutils. But I
can't say how this might be accomplished.
