Following hot on the heels of yesterday's 4.2.0 release, we have a
findutils 4.2.1 release. The main change in 4.2.1 is that I
discovered that a problem I had been unable to reproduce was caused by
the fact that the findutils configure script was accepting the use of
a system fnmatch() function even though the real dependency was on
having a GNU-compatible one. This fix should resolve several defect
reports.
You can download findutils-4.2.1 from the URL
ftp://alpha.gnu.org/gnu/findutils. The NEWS file for this release
says :-
* Major changes in release 4.2.1
** Bug Fixes
*** find -iname now works correctly on systems that have an fnmatch() function
that does not support FNM_CASEFOLD
*** updatedb now uses signal names for "trap" instead of numbers,
as per bug #9465 (see
http://www.opengroup.org/onlinepubs/009695399/utilities/trap.html)
*** Better support for systems lacking intmax_t
** Other Changes
**** findutils now uses a newer version of gnulib (dated 2004-10-17).
