Of course, nobody is paying us volunteers to maintain findutils.
Perhaps a more appropriate target for your irritation is whoever you
paid for what you presumably had originally thought was a
POSIX-compliant system.
More tools would be POSIX-compliant if POSIX-compliance test suites
were freely available. Unfortunately, I don't know of any free ones.
POSIX ocmpliance suites require a great deal of effort to build,
prove, and maintain. Understandably organisations willing to put in
that amount of effort tend to want to recoup their investment.
