Thanks for looking at this.

I'm not sure.  I looked at the gnulib ChangeLog to see what the change
to modechange.c is, and looked in the documentation directory, but
could not find any appropriate information about the changes that have
been made.

For the moment we can just ship findutils built against an old version
of gnulib, but this will rapidly become awkward.

Gnulib guys, what's the significance of the changes made to
modechange.c?  How should callers who previously used MODE_MASK_PLUS
modify their code to get the same behaviour?
