URL: <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?17861> Summary: make of find fails on Solaris 2.8 Project: findutils Submitted by: ahmadk72 Submitted on: Wednesday 09/27/2006 at 16:30 Category: find Severity: 3 - Normal Item Group: Compilation Failure Status: None Privacy: Public Assigned to: None Originator Name: Kashif Ahmad Originator Email: Open/Closed: Open Release: 4.2.28 Fixed Release: None _______________________________________________________ Details: Error: gcc -g -O2 -o find find.o fstype.o parser.o pred.o tree.o util.o version.o ../lib/libfind.a ../gnulib/lib/libgnulib.a Undefined first referenced symbol in file re_compile_pattern parser.o re_match pred.o re_set_syntax parser.o ld: fatal: Symbol referencing errors. No output written to find collect2: ld returned 1 exit status Additional information: 4.2.27 installation works without a problem. Seems like a problem in the treatment of the regex included with package (which it should default to once the Solaris one is found lacking). Tried configuring with --with-included-regex and still same problem. Looks very similar to bug #11710. _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?17861> _______________________________________________ Message sent via/by Savannah http://savannah.gnu.org/
