According to James Youngman on 3/24/2008 12:22 PM:
| still 2007. Obviously, that's now wrong for findutils. However,
| since the gnulib source files are not held under version control
| within findutils it's not so easy to fix this; the interface of the
| version_etc function doesn't allow COPYRIGHT_YEAR to be overridden.

You can use 'gnulib-tool --local-dir' to provide an override for just this
file, while leaving everything else stable. Or, now that gnulib is stored
in git, just create a branch off of your stable point and cherry-pick just
the changes that you want onto your branch rather than staying linearly
tied to the master branch. At least, I don't think anyone here would mind
if you added another branch to the upstream gnulib.git.

| I guess the simplest solution will just be to upgrade to a newer
| version of gnulib.

True, and it probably fixes other bugs.
